What Is Prolotherapy Treatment:

Prolotherapy is a new treatment for what is known as myofascial pain syndrome, or MFS. This condition can cause very acute pain, often caused by the inflammation of the muscles of the lower back, which is generally caused by pulled and compressed tendons. MFS is usually caused by overuse of the muscles of the spine and is characterized by persistent tightness, soreness, and muscle weakness, which can be alleviated through the injection of steroidal compounds directly into affected areas. The steroid, hydrocortisone (also known as Warfarin) works by blocking the formation of abnormal collagen and soft tissue, which is responsible for the acute pain that the patient suffers. What Is Prolotherapy And How Does It Work:

Prolotherapy is a form of surgery that is done to treat the prolapsed colon. The prolapsed colon refers to a condition wherein the colon has developed a hard, swollen lining and that the opening into the lower intestine is narrow thus leading to a painful rectal area. The cause of this condition is various and depending on the person affected it can range from minor to severe. When you are going through a prolapsed colon treatment then you will find that what is prolotherapy and how it works come into play. Once the condition has been treated then the doctor will introduce an instrument called an anoscope which is a tool used for viewing the colon.

Once the anoscope is introduced into the rectum the doctor will then locate the lump in the wall of the colon which is the main source of discomfort. After this, the doctor will then make an incision in the lump using a sterilized tool known as a speculum. Once the incision is made then what is prolotherapy and how does it work come into play. After the patient is discharged from the hospital the anoscope will be removed and then the doctor will insert a long thin tube called a cannula which is attached directly to the colonoscopy machine.

The main goal of the prolotherapy procedure is to introduce the tube right into the large intestine so that the surgeon can view the contents of the rectum and the large intestine. When this procedure is complete then there should not be any visible difference in the colon but there will be slight bleeding as the bowel movement process is completed. There may also be some discomfort as the bowel movement process takes place. What is prolotherapy and how does it work is a procedure that must be done carefully and with a lot of understanding between the patient and the doctor who will be performing the procedure. If the doctor makes a mistake during the prolotherapy procedure then the chances of the patient having a serious health problem are high.

How Much Does Prolotherapy Cost:

How much does Prolotherapy cost? Prolotherapy is a method of treating hemorrhoids that involve the injection of a liquid solution into the anal area to help reduce swelling and relieve pain. The cost of Prolotherapy greatly depends on where the treatment is performed, the doctor, how many sessions, and other factors related to your case. When deciding on the best treatment for you, it’s important to consult with a professional at a clinic or office and ask about pricing as well as any restrictions before receiving the treatment.

Depending on how large the external hemorrhoid is and how much movement occurs during the procedure, doctors may perform several treatments to successfully treat the condition. For small external hemorrhoids, doctors usually recommend soaking the patient in warm water for 15 minutes each session, then applying a topical lubricant cream that eases the pain and decreases bleeding. After the procedure, patients may be instructed to take ibuprofen or aspirin to reduce discomfort. Some patients also experience improvements in bowel movements, while others notice little change in their symptoms.

In some severe cases, like those associated with internal or external lumps or injuries, doctors will recommend cutting open the anal canal to provide relief from pain and ensure that the injury does not become worse. This procedure is called an open hemorrhoidectomy. It can often involve extensive recovery time, but it is very effective in eliminating pain and reducing inflammation. During this procedure, your doctor may also instruct you to take warm baths to flush out the remaining waste from your body. Doctors commonly recommend these warm baths for up to six weeks after the Prolotherapy procedure. If the pain persists after two weeks, it is recommended that you visit your physician, as continued exposure to too much heat could cause further injury to your tissues.

Conclusion:

Prolotherapy is not just beneficial to the patients but also to the doctors conducting the procedure. This type of therapy is used primarily to relieve muscle and soft tissue pain rather than treat symptoms, and maybe administered on an outpatient basis.
